• Only works produced after January 1rst, 2020 will be eligible for the competitive section of the Festival. Films made in 2021 will be given priority.
• The screening copy must be sent in the original language, with French or English subtitles. A dialog list with time codes will also be required. French orignal version don't need to be subtitled.
ENTRY PROCEDURES
Each film must be submitted to the Festival before December 15th, 2020 and accompanied by the following documents:
• Registration FORM duly completed;
• Payment of registration FEES;
• Viewing LINK of the film through a web platform securised by a password (eg: Vimeo, Dailymotion, Youtube);
• DIALOGUE LIST in French or English
• PHOTOS of the film (maximum 3) (2 Mo max / 72dpi) and of the filmmaker (s).
No file will be returned. Selection or refusal letters will be sent by February 1, 2021. Please note that letters may be sent in multiple waves. It is not impossible to receive responses at two separate moments, in the event that you have submitted more than one work.
ENTRY FEES
• 20$ CAD for a Short Film
• 30$ CAD for a Feature Film
SELECTION
Once a film is registered and selected, the rights holder has the obligation to participate in the festival if he has committed to it.
The films selected must meet the following requirements:
• The screening copy must be sent before February 10, 2021. The preferred screening format will be specified in the selection letter.
• The films may be screened during the Festival and also the week before the festival, for educationnal screenings in schools around Rimouski. For this reason, you will be asked for a digital version (DCP cannot be read in every screening rooms). The number of screenings will be limited to 5.
MATERIAL
Participants must cover the cost for sending visual material of the selected films. The screening copies must be transmitted digitally via WeTransfer, DCP or other. No material will be returned.
FILMS CLIPS
The festival reserves the right to broadcast extracts of the selected works, for a maximum of 2 minutes per film, for promotional purposes only, on social medias, for the Festival trailer or the traditional medias.
