About the festival

The Carolina Environmental Film Festival is an event held at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with the goal of bringing people together in order to raise awareness of various environmental issues through showcasing environmental documentaries. This event is organized through a collaboration of UNC-CH faculty and students. University and college students are particularly encouraged to participate; however, submissions are open to anyone who wishes to raise awareness about an environmental issue through a short documentary. We welcome any film that addresses an environmental issue; however, this year we have a particular interest in sustainability.
