About the festival

The Capital Filmmakers Festival is dedicated to showcasing independent filmmakers from around the world to a global audience. We will visit numerous Capitals around the globe. Starting with Madrid, Berlin, Malta, Vienna and Budapest.

The Capital Filmmakers Film Festival is all about bringing together different cultures, different cities and different point of views.

Known for its beautiful architecture and rich culture we felt that this was the perfect starting place for our travelling film festival, and we will be back for a second edition in Madrid in 2019. The festival will be happening from the 13th-14th of September 2019 in a multipurpose cinema hall, the Artistic Metropol, which is renowned for its dedication and focus on independent cinema, and also at La Morada, a small but cosy space in the middle of Malasaña.
