About the festival

100% Young Producers present:

Cans Film Festival

We’re back for our second year and we're more can-alicious than ever!

We like all short films from the ultra short (30 secs) to the traditional 20 minutes and we want to show them off. Top indie shorts, brand new shorts, student shorts, industry talks and the much anticipated CANS AWARD CEREMONY.

This years catagories include:

1. Best Short Film in Festival

2. Best Ultra Short (30 secs or less)

3. Best use of a can in film

Each catagory will have one winner. A Cans Festival Trophy will be awarded to each winner

All short listed films will recieve feedback from a panel of industry professionals.

Terms and rules

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

- All Short films must be under 20 minutes long.

- We will be selecting entries from film makers in the United Kingdom Only and will show some preference to those in local area to Luton and London.

-Ultra Short Films must be no longer than 30 seconds.

- Please let us know which catagory (or multiple catagories) you are applying for.

- 100% Young Producers and Luton Culture reserve the right to exclude any film deemed unsuitable.

- Submission deadline is Saturday 7th November 2015 at midnight.

- Any entries submitted after the deadline that make it into the festival will be charged a fee of £5.

- Shortlisted films will be confirmed via email on Tuesday 10th November 2015.

- Submissions can be emailed to us at lutonyoungproducers@gmail.com.

- Submissions must include a link to the short film (via YouTube or Vimeo) and password for the film.

- A trailer can also be included in your submission to be used by 100% Young Producers on social media.

- Submissions can also be sent via hardcopies in the post. To 100% Young Producers, The Hat Factory | 65-67 Bute Street | Luton LU1 2EY.

- Hardcopy entries cannot be returned unless the entry comes with a prepaid envelope.

- We will require an email contact as a submission form will need to be filled in and we will send you this on reciept of your film.
