1- The entry fee is per submission, depending on the category, and fees are non-refundable.
2- There is no limit on the number of submissions that can be done, but multiple submissions must be provided as individual submissions, completing one form per film.
3- Submissions in any language other than Spanish must be subtitled or dubbed.
4- For evaluation and selection, all films must be submitted in digital format (.mov or .mp4 file), by a secure online screener, preferably protected by a password and with the download option enabled (mandatory). We also receive links via FTP, WeTransfer, Google Drive or Dropbox.
5- The screening format will be DCP (Digital Cinema Package). The BARunFF will provide support to convert the selected films to that screening format.
6- The BARunFF is open to both, Short and Feature Films. We consider Short Films those which last between 1 and 30 minutes (including credits). The films that exceed 30 minutes will be considered Feature. Maximum length allowed is 100 minutes (including credits).
7- All films, both Short and Feature, shall have “running” as the main theme, whether Street, Trail or Ultra; it can also have Triathlon and Ironman as a protagonist.
This requirement is compulsory. As for the genre and style, there are no restrictions. It can be documentary, fiction, comedy, drama, suspense, animation– that is up to the filmmakers.
8- The BARunFF Jury panel will be formed by professionals and celebrities linked to sports and film industry. They will declare a winner in both categories. The awarded Feature Film will receive a prize yet to be designated which may result in shipping costs to the winner. The decision of the judges is final.
9- The BARunFF reserves the right to extend the list of winners, declare a category or award vacant, modify the awards, or add an exceptional one where considered appropriate.
10- The individual or corporation submitting the film hereby warrants that it is authorized to commit the film for screening, in all venues and dates yet to be designated for the BARunFF screening, fixed or itinerant, throughout the 2020 season which can extend up to 8 months from the start date of the festival, and understands and accepts these requirements and regulations. The undersigned shall indemnify and hold harmless the Buenos Aires Running Film Festival (BARunFF) from and against any and all claims, liabilities, losses, damages, and expenses (including but not limited to attorney's fees, and costs of the court) which may be incurred by reason of any claim involving copyright, trademark, credits, publicity or screening of the videos entered.
11- The BARunFF is hereby granted the right to utilize an excerpt of 2 minutes from any film submitted and accepted for exhibition at the Festival for promotional purposes.
12- The BARunFF retains the power to decide on all matters not specifically dealt with in these regulations.
