About the festival

The Boston Women's Film Festival is the Boston area's leading festival for international films created by women. For four days in September, hosted by The Brattle Theatre in Harvard Square, Cambridge and the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, the Boston Women's Film Festival will be bringing the latest in media created by women from around the globe. The festival will host panel discussions by leading figures in the media industry bringing together creators and audiences for a weekend of celebrating the diversity and power of women's cinema. All submissions must be directed by a women.

Due to COVID 19, the 2020 film festival will be held virtually for 10 days, from October 8th to the 18th.

Review Format
We prefer that preview submissions be submitted as digital online screeners.

SHIPPING
Exhibition copies must be sent to the festival prepaid. The festival will pay for return or forward shipping. The festival cannot accept nor assume responsibility for damage or loss of materials while in transit. In case of loss or damage during the Festival, the responsibility of the Festival is limited to the costs for repair or replacement of the print.
