Terms and rules

Our preference is online submissions. In rare cases, we will accept blu-rays, but online is always preferred and a way to guarantee that the film will be viewed by numerous panelists.

The BLIFF Selection Committee will choose the films to be screened at this year's festival. The committee will look for innovative works that are by or about the U.S. Latino community, Latin America and Spain. They must have been produced between 2018 and 2020.

All entries will be pre-screened for eligibility by the Selection Committee; however, not all entries will be programmed. If your work is selected, you will be notified no later than July 20, 2020 to send the film in its original format.

Films must be postmarked by the submission deadline date.

All fees are nonrefundable.

To enter your film, please submit each of the following:

1. Completed Submission Form
2. One copy of your film in one of the accepted formats
3. Brief synopsis (40 words) in English or Spanish. Any synopsis in Spanish should also have an English translation.
4. Biography information (director, producer, actors, or writer)
5. Press kit and/or still photos (300 dpi if submitted electronically)
6. Entry Fee

Due to the large number of submissions, the Festival cannot return any submission materials that are submitted with your entry form.

Participants are responsible for paying their own shipping costs.

NOTE: ALL PIECES IN SPANISH OR PORTUGUESE MUST HAVE ENGLISH SUBTITLES.
