Emerging creatives from across Australia are welcomed to submit their short films into the Blue Heeler Film Festival for 2019. This one-night festival will showcase the incredible talents of short filmmakers nationwide at our free family friendly event held in Muswellbrook Australia.

If you’re looking for inspiration for your short film, we encourage you to explore rural aspects of life in Australia.

Your film must have been made in Australia
Your film must not have been broadcast in Australia
Your film must not be available on internet TV platforms including Netflix and Stan
Your film must be no longer than 7 minutes (including titles and credits)
Your film must be provided in 16:9 ratio and PAL format
You must agree to ALL terms and conditions of entry as specified in the Terms & Conditions on our website.
WHEN SUBMITTING PLEASE UPLOAD VIDEO. URL SUBMISSIONS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.

By submitting your film via FilmFreeway you are agreeing to the Blue Heeler Film Festival 2019 Terms and Conditions:-

1. All Filmmakers must agree to these Terms and Conditions as a condition of entry of Film to Blue Heeler Film Festival 2019.

2. All Films submitted to Blue Heeler Film Festival 2019 must meet the Blue Heeler Film Festival Acceptance Criteria in all respects. These include:
The film must have been made in Australia
The Film must not have been broadcast in Australia
The Film must not be available on internet TV platforms including Netflix and Stan
The Film must be no longer than 7 minutes (including titles and credits).

3. The Blue Heeler Film Festival will evaluate in its sole discretion whether the Film submitted for the Blue Heeler Film Festival 2019 meets all Acceptance Criteria.

4. The Blue Heeler Film Festival will inform in writing (email) if the Film has been accepted or not accepted into the Blue Heeler Film Festival 2019

5. The Blue Heeler Film Festival decision as to whether a Film has met all Acceptance Criteria is final and not subject to any appeal for reconsideration.

6. By submitting the Film to the Blue Heeler Film Festival you are giving the following warranties:
* You own all copyright associated with the film including soundtrack, music, images and performances.
* You are able to assign rights to the Blue Heeler Film Festival
* The Blue Heeler Film Festival can screen the film in whole or in part as part of the festival.
* The Blue Heeler Film Festival can include the film in whole or in part for the promotion of the festival or any other future festival events. This may include media, internet, broadcast and other platforms.

7. For the avoidance of doubt the Blue Heeler Film Festival does not accept the following standards:- Film or video tape, 4k or 2k resolution, 720 pixels for broadcast.

8. The Film SHOULD be submitted in the following formats:
Standard Resolution: 1920 wide x 1080 high pixels.
Aspect Ratio: 16:9
Audio: Stereo, sample rate 48khz (128 kbps).
Codec: Most file formats are accepted for submission, but H264-MPEG-4 (with High bitrate) or Apple Pro Res 422 files are very common.
Duration: Maximum length is 7 minutes - 00:07:00 (including titles & credits)
WHEN SUBMITTING PLEASE UPLOAD VIDEO. URL SUBMISSIONS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.

9. Blue Heeler Film Festival accepts no responsibility for any Entry Form or Film that is submitted after the Cut Off Date or not uploaded correctly for the Blue Heeler Film Festival or is otherwise damaged.

10. Due to the competitive nature of the festival we favour films that are Australian Premieres with content that appeals to our rural Muswellbrook community.
