Washington state filmmakers only are eligible for the grand prize of $1000, as well as trophies and awards for first, second and third place winners. Filmmakers from WA state must either be in attendance or have a representative in the audience on opening night to receive awards. The Official Selection for WA state films and awards ceremony will take place October 27 at the Pickford Film Center.

Bleedingham is proud to announce that we are now accepting entries worldwide! However, since Bleedingham primarily serves Northwestern US filmmakers, all entries from outside WA state are not eligible for the $1000 grand prize. All films from outside WA state will be eligible for awards in the following categories based on the judges scores: Best Film Best Cinematography Best Story Best Editing Best Sound Design We will send Award Certificates to the winners in the International Film Contest. The International official selection will screen on October 29 at the Pickford Film Center in Bellingham, WA. If your film is selected, you will be contacted via email to request a screening copy for the event.

DEADLINE is Sept 15, 2020. Create an up to 5 minute horror short with what you have available to you. Films will not be judged on production quality, but rather on creative storytelling, editing, and scary factor. There will not be feedback given for these films. While we encourage you to make the best of the tools around you to tell your story, we understand that access to gear and crew in these times is severely limited.
