ELIGIBILITY
Films must be 5 minutes or under in length (including credits) and shot at least 50% using a drone or UAV.
Films must have been completed after 30th September 2015.
If submitting more than one film, a separate completed entry is required for each title.
Films must be either in English or subtitled in English.
Promotional films are not eligible (e.g. films promoting tourism, brand marketing, etc.).
ENTRY & NOTIFICATION
There is no submission fee.
All applicants must submit through www.filmfreeway.com .
Each entry must be submitted with completed Registration Form. If this is not received, the film will not be considered as an eligible submission.
The BDFF does not pay rental fees for submitted work. If selected, exhibition format digital files will be requested from the filmmakers.
BDFF will only contact those filmmakers with work selected for the festival. Due to the large amount of submissions received, BDFF cannot offer feedback regarding films that are not selected for the Festival.
The selection of films will be announced on the BDFF website www.dronefilmfest.de when the programme is launched.
Participants are not entitled to claim rental or other fees for the screenings of their films at the BDFF.
The BDFF cannot make travel or lodging accommodations, all filmmakers with accepted works will receive free tickets to the programs and events during the Festival.
PROMOTION
Selected films are required to signal their selection by including the logo provided by the festival in the film credits and on all of the film’s communication media.
Awarded films must signal their awards by including the logo provided by the festival, which should appear separately in the opening or closing credits and on all of the film’s communication and screening media.
LIABILITY
By entering your film for consideration for the BDFF, you accept full legal responsibility for the intellectual property contained within your film(s) and that you have cleared all contents of the film(s) with the respective copyright holders prior to submission to the BDFF. There must not be pending or anticipated litigation regarding the film.
Entry into the BDFF constitutes permission to exhibit your work at the BDFF. The BDFF reserves the right to use entrant film(s), in whole or in part for promotional purposes including but not limited to print, and television and internet broadcast in perpetuity.
The BDFF reserves the right to change the awards depending on the budget.
In the event of disagreement concerning the interpretation of the terms and conditions, the interpretation of the festival will take precedence.

Entering a film in the Berlin Drone Film Festival implies the acceptance of these regulations and guidelines. Failure to comply with these terms and conditions may result in the submission being disqualified.
