About the festival

Amethyst Productions Proudly Presents:
AZURITE INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL

We are an international film festival based in Leeds, England. Our goal is to showcase filmmaker’s work, whether it be shorts, features or documentaries, and recognise them for their talents.

We also aim to be different from other film festivals online by offering the opportunity for filmmakers to get feedback on their work. This may be useful to help people improve their talents for their next project and beyond.

Submitters can also be from any part of the world, we understand the importance of international films and we aim to use this platform to help increase that importance.

Our festival is comprised of three different seasons, each season covers a three month period with an awards event held in the month after. Each winner from the seasons will receive an official selection laurel, a winner certificate (which winners can download and print) and will be automatically entered into the best of year event which we hold in December. Nominees will be up for the chance to win one of our awards which will be engraved with the title of the film and the filmmaker’s name.

Terms and rules

- All short films must be under 50 minutes.
- All feature films must be over 50 minutes
- Short screenplays must be under 50 pages
- Feature screenplays must be under 120 pages
- Feedback will be given on the notification date alongside the selection results.
- All international films submitted must be English subtitled or English dubbed to qualify.

We are ideally looking to be connected with a story and it's characters in such a short space of time as well finding the overall film enjoyable and thoughtfully crafted.
