About the festival

The Atlanta Korean Film Festival (AKFF) is a cinematic exploration of Korean experience - Korean culture and history, life in South Korea, and the work of Korean artists - particularly where these stories intersect with other communities. As the largest showcase of Korean cinematography in Southern USA, AKFF features a collection of more than a dozen contemporary films and panel discussions with directors and other leaders in the world of Korean and Korean-American cinema.

AKFF Director of the Year
AKFF Director of the Year is determined by Committee members, to promote Georgia-Korea relationship and/or to encourage Korean American movie makers. The awardee is invited and honored with a statuette and special recognition at opening ceremony.

AKFF Best Short Film Award
AKFF Best Short Film Award is determined by selected juries. The winning short is honored with a special screening, statuette and $1000 USD cash prize.
