About the festival

Animation Volda Festival is an annual festival i Volda, Norway. Volda University College is a profiled school of animation along with other media practices. Every year the festival is arranged solely by students, mainly from the animation bachelor program. This year the focus is on the Future of Animation, with particular regard to classic animation techniques making a fresh, elevated comeback. We would like to showcase all types of animation, welcoming old and new approaches to the production of animated shorts.
