SYDNEY AUSTRALIA
Salt House Creative International Film Festival, was founded by Salt House Creative Artistic Director and Australian of the Year finalist Dr. Daniel Widdowson. Screenings are held in Sydney in June every year, with monthly winners announced by the end of each month. This international film festival selects certain monthly winning films to be screened at the annual event in Sydney Australia, at Dendy Cinemas, Newtown. In the event that the Cinema is not open, e.g. COVID restrictions, then a smaller screening will be held for judges at the Salt House Creative theatre on the Central Coast.
The judging panel includes Australian industry professionals from the Australian Writer's Guild, Director's Guild, renowned reviewers, and a pool of professional actors.
We're extremely thankful for the high calibre of creatives who have chosen to enter this festival, having received both professional and Indie entries from 30+ countries.
Each month the following awards are distributed:
BEST SHORT - Under 40 minutes
BEST FEATURE - Over 40 minutes
BEST ACTOR
BEST ACTRESS
BEST DIRECTION
Winners receive the official Salt House Creative laurel and the chance to be screened at our annual event.
