About the festival

Greetings Filmmakers

Submissions are now open for the next UK Seasonal Short Film Festival.

Ours is a seasonal festival that screens fantastic films in various cities around the United Kingdom. This season we are in the nation's capital, London, one of the most dynamic and creative cities in the world.

It is curated by WWCSFF Film Festivals, the same team that produces the London-X4 Seasonal Short Film Festival, the London-Worldwide Comedy Short Film Festival and the Asia South East-Short Film Festival.

The directors of the festival are filmmakers, performers and marketers who have been involved in the UK media industry for over 15 years. It's a great pleasure to be able to screen rising talents and their work and to see audiences appreciate their output. We also endeavour to help our officially selected films gain wider notice within the industry at large.

Our festival will give audiences around the United Kingdom a chance to see the wide variety of fantastic short films that are being produced around the world. We accept any genre from drama to action to horror to documentary to comedy to animation and we prize originality above all. We also offer awards for the individual talents that go into making a successful film such as directing, script-writing, acting and production values. We have accumulated a database of production companies and talent agencies who will be receiving free invitations to the festival to scout for upcoming talent.

The films will be judged by a panel of filmmakers, performers and creative people who know and love films. We are looking for dynamic scripts, direction and performances. Films that are, above all, involving.

We are pursuing different possibilities within the broadcast and streaming industries that we hope will be, in the near future, of benefit to our festivals and the filmmakers that take part. There is a high demand for well curated and audience tested creative content and we plan on taking advantage of this need. Updates will be announced on our social media and newsletter.

Terms and rules

The UK Seasonal Short Film Festival's decision is final, and we cannot enter into discussion about films not accepted.

If selected, your film can only be screened for the festival edition you have submitted to. We cannot postpone screenings of your film to later festivals.

If your film is chosen to screen in competition, we will send you an acceptance email and request a download or digital transfer of your short film and expect to receive one as soon as possible. The file must be received by the date stated in the acceptance email, or your film will not be screened.

UK Seasonal Short Film Festival is hereby granted the right to utilize for up to a year after the festival an excerpt or image from any film submitted and accepted for exhibition at the Festival for promotional purposes. The individual or corporation submitting the film hereby warrants that it is authorized for up to a year after the festival to commit the film for screening (including but not limited to multiple screenings in multiple U.K. and International locations), and understands and accepts these requirements and regulations.

By submitting your entry you consent to, and have obtained all necessary consents for (and agree to provide copies of the same on request), all or any part of the production being reproduced for up to a year after the festival by the Organizers and/or any other parties authorized by the Organizers and/or broadcast by a third party in any media (e.g. press, television, internet or telephone download), solely in relation to, and in support of, the Festival provided that, wherever reasonably possible, the author of the work is given appropriate notification and credit.*

*Please note that we will notify you and will proceed only when we have your confirmation, if we intend to curate your work in programs outside of the festival screenings. You will, of course, be given the opportunity to opt out.
