1)The exhibition and competition will be open to any resident of planet Earth.
2)Your film must be at most 5 minutes
3)Produce your piece at broadcast quality. 1080p (1920×1080) resolution is preferred and MP4 files are required.
Consider your viewing audience - from mobile phones, to broadband to televisions, to theatre screens.
4) Competing films are not paid any contribution or screening fees.
5)You can apply to either,
Global Category : The heart of the world
Local Category : The hearth of the world: Birzai
For Local Category, only short films that were shot in Birzai are accepted.
For Global category , you are free to shoot at anywhere on earth
6) All films submitted should have English subtitles
7)Contributors must be the sole author(s) of the entry.
No unauthorized use of copyrighted material (music, footage, still images and so on). The legal and ethical responsibility for using copyrighted material belongs to the attendant, not the festival authority and our partners. Once its revealed, attendant's piece will be disqualified from the festival screenings and competition.
8)You may submit at most 2 films in accordance with the official rules and regulations.
Submissions will be made electronically to FilmFreeway until 17.07.19
9)2019 Heart of the World Film Festival will reserve the right to refuse any entry at its own discretion. Submitted material must not contain obscene, unlawful or objectionable material.
10)Content created to promote any product or service will not be accepted.
11)Once the attendant submit their piece, 20-19 HOW Film Festival will have the rights to promote, distribute, edit and broadcast on online and offline media.
12)The submission of a film to 20-19 HOW will be considered to be an acknowledgement of the festival rules.
13)The festival authority reserves the right to amend the regulations.
14) Sponsors and guarantors of the categories are responsible for providing the prizes of the winners. Festival organisers, directors and jury can not be hold responsible for the actions of the sponsors and guarantors.
